چکیده
Abstract Nuclear nanomedicine forms a new research field based on the synergy of nuclear medicine and nanotechnology implying use nanomaterials as carriers diagnostic or therapeutic radionuclides. Such an approach promises series advantages over classical methods medicine, including increased surface area-to-volume ratio, passive/active delivery, high loading capacity, large cross-section in interactions with biological tissues, unique properties that make possible many functionalities within one construct. In this short review article, we will highlight our recent achievements development technologies, which promise advancement for cancer treatment.

SPECIAL FEATURE: PERSPECTIVE Nanotechnologies for biomedical science and translational medicine
In 2000 the United States launched the National Nanotechnology Initiative and, along with it, a well-defined set of goals for nanomedicine. This Perspective looks back at the progress made toward those goals, within the context of the changing landscape in biomedicine that has occurred over the past 15 years, and considers advances that are likely to occur during the next decade. In particular,...
متن کاملNew techniques in nuclear medicine for tumor detection [Persian]
Widespread studies on tumor diagnosis has led to the development of techniques with greater sensitivity and improved specificity for detection of occult and small subclinical tumors. Tumor imaging by radiolabeling of tumor-specific antibodies (Immunoscintigraphy) or tissue specific biochemical agents (Receptor imaging) and especially physiologic imaging with positron emitters (PET), have ...
متن کاملNovel Noninvasive Nuclear Medicine Imaging Techniques for Cardiac Inflammation
PURPOSE OF REVIEW Inflammation is a key player in a wide range of cardiovascular and myocardial diseases. Given the numerous implications of inflammatory processes in disease initiation and progression, functional imaging modalities including positron emission tomography (PET) represent valuable diagnostic, prognostic, and monitoring tools in patient management. Since increased glucose metaboli...
متن کاملDevelopment of Novel Radionuclide Generators for Use in Nuclear Medicine
Introduction Over the last 5 decades, radionuclide generators have attracted substantial attention, indeed close scrutiny of the nuclear medicine community owing to their ability to provide short-lived radioisotopes without the need for on-site nuclear reactor or cyclotron facilities for preparation of a wide variety of diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals [1]. The radionuclide gener...
